I was sad to hear that Edie Adams passed away this week.
She was probably best known for her cigar commercials in the 1960's, and her work with husband Ernie Kovacs during TV's golden age - where she was often quite funny.
This is a good a time as any to link to Kovacs' famous Nairobi Trio sketch. Like a lot of the stuff Kovacs did in the early days, it's funny - and kind of creepy. I believe that's Edie on the right (pregnant!), Ernie in the middle, and I once heard Jack Lemmon is the one on the left. (I wonder if that's true?)
