Odessey and Oracle was a psychedelic album from The Zombies; recorded in 1967, it wasn't released in the U.S. until 1969 - after the band had already decided to call it quits.
Often overlooked, it deserves to be considered with other classic albums of the era. It's most memorable track - Time of the Season was a deserved hit, but the entire record is similarly remarkable and haunting.
I only recently discovered the band has released a fortieth anniversary live recording of the album, and is currently touring the U.S. with a show consisting mainly of songs from it.
This video is from a California show - and contains the first two songs from Odessey and Oracle. (Two good ones - Care of Cell 44, and A Rose For Emily).
