Here are the Rolling Stones - making their U.S. network television debut on ABC's Hollywood Palace in 1964. What makes this unique from other rock 'n' roll clips of the sixties, is that host Dean Martin didn't "get" The Stones, and makes it very clear in his reaction and comments after their performance.
The perceived slight by Dean was bad enough that Bob Dylan demanded an apology in the liner notes of his Another Side of Bob Dylan album, and ABC edited Dean from all subsequent repeats of the telecast.
