Here's a great site that's all about the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ - it's piers, and memorable attractions.It brought back many pleasant childhood memories, such as the Keystone Kops ride, and a few unpleasant ones like the Hell Hole, which always scared the shit out of me when I was a kid.
I was fairly obsessed with the massive King Kong attraction (above) - which receives extensive coverage on the site. I remember playing miniature golf directly across from it, and showing it a very healthy respect. Details of it's demise are somewhat touching, actually.
