"Paul Is Dead"

Here's something that captivated my attention for a few weeks when I first discovered it earlier this year: Iamaphoney's "Paul is Dead" videos at YouTube.

To get you up to speed quickly - there are some people out there who believe Paul McCartney DIED sometime around 1966. He was replaced by the winner of a Paul McCartney look-alike contest (possibly named William Campbell, and possibly the guy from the White Album poster that looks like Paul McCartney with a mustache and glasses - see below). The new guy was so darned good at imitating Paul McCartney that he went on to write Hey Jude, Let It Be - and all that solo material (even Give My Regards To Broad Street).

Total bullshit? Of course. But once you sit through about a dozen or so of Iamaphoney's (what a name) collection - you might just start to believe it all.

The videos explore the William Campbell myth, but eventually evolve to propose the theory that McCartney might be a satanist (or at least a devotee/spawn of Sgt. Pepper cover-boy Aleister Crowley).

Did I mention the videos are extremely well done? Hypnotic, scary, and very, very compelling. (At least the first thirty or so are... the later ones get a bit repetitive. You'll know when to jump off).
